Private investigation services

Every investigative service, organized by the problem you need solved.

Seventy-five private detective services across eight areas of practice. Start with the category closest to your situation, or tell us what's happening and we'll recommend the right approach.

Not sure where your situation fits?

Describe the problem. We'll suggest the approach.

Most situations don't map neatly onto a single service, and you shouldn't have to work out the terminology. A short conversation is usually enough to identify the right starting point.

How do I know which service I need?

You don't have to know. Describe your situation and what you're hoping to find out, and the right approach, which is often a combination of services, can be recommended from there. The categories above are simply a way to explore.

Can one investigation include several services?

Yes, and many do. A matrimonial matter might combine surveillance with an asset search; a workplace matter might combine interviews with background research. The scope is built around the question, not a menu.

Are your services available in every state?

Investigations are coordinated nationwide. Because licensing and legal rules differ by state, the way work is carried out is matched to the jurisdiction. Each state page explains local considerations.

What will I receive at the end of an investigation?

Typically a written report summarizing what was done and what was found, with supporting documentation such as photographs, video, records or interview summaries, depending on the service. See what an investigative report includes.

Confidential inquiry

Found what you need, or still not sure?

Either way, the next step is the same: a short, confidential conversation about what you're trying to find out.
